PSALM 121
Safety of the godly who trust in God.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh
my help.
My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and
earth.
He will not surfer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth
thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor
sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy shade upon thy
right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee, from all evil; he shall preserve
thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in
from this time forth, and even for evermore.

The Obituary
We thank thee, O God for all the goodness and courage
which have passed from the life of this thy servant into
the lives of others and have left the world richer for her
presence.
Mrs. Lillian Beatrice Murphy Hamilton, of 624 South Green
Street departed this life quietly on June 21, 1976 at Iredell Mem-
orial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Iredell County, on August 20, 1892, a
daughter of the late John Pelture Murphy, and Julia E. Murdock
Murphy.
She was married to Paul Hamilton who preceded her in
death on August 30, 1972.
Mrs. Hamilton received her education at Scotia Seminary,
Concord, N. C, Livingstone College, Salisbury, N. C, and did
further study at J. C. Smith University, Charlotte, N. C. and re-
ceived her Masters Degree in Education, from Columbia Univer-
sity, New York City. She taught in the Iredell County School
system, and the Statesville City School system for forty-six years.
She was a faithful member of Calvary United Presbyterian
Church where she taught an adult Sunday School class.
She contributed to the happiness of many, and she not only
touched, but helped mold and influence the lives of many people.
The imprint of her loving personality is worthy of emulation.
She leaves not to mourn, but rather to rejoice in the memory
of one who lived a lengthy beautiful life, and count themselves
among the blessed for having her, loving her, and having been
loved by her, a sister, Mrs. Julia Chatman, Richmond, Va., three
brothers, Thomas Murphy, Statesville, N. C., Fowler Murphy, and
Carlton Murphy, Jamaica, N. Y. Seven nieces, four nephews,
