V The only property owned by Mrs. Chessie Pearson Cushing, except that Shown in this report under Receipts, was her personal effects, and this has been satisfactorily and mutually divided among the legatees, VI An Inheritance Tax Return was filed with the North Carolina Department of Revenue, but there was no tax due. VII The mortgage and note referred to under Receipts as being from College Park Estates, Inc., Hollywood, Florida, and sometimes known asthe Weber Mortgage, was discounted and assigned. It was a long term note and deed of trust payable in monthly installments, and there was some question about whether or not full face value could be received therefrom if a foreclosure was had, The makers of the note and mortgage were considerably in arrears, and in January, 1962, the Execu- trices had the opportunity to sell, transfer and assign the same without recourse at a discount of approximately 20%. This was taken up with all of the legatees, and all of the legatees were agreeable to doing this. Everyone felt that this was the best thing to do under all the circumstances, The transfer and assignment was made without recourse, and the Executrices and/or the legatees of Mrs. Chessie Pearson Cushing are not in any way liable in connection therewith. WHEREFORE, having fully administered the estate of Mrs. Chessie Pearson Cushing, the undersigned Executrices pray that this report be accepted as their final settlement in said estate, that the same be audited and approved, and that they be discharged as by law provided, Respectfully submitted, this the 14th day of March, 1962.
