Secretary was ; ‘e ce nedu ' ee \:.au ‘ T *T *; Sree ne ar 4 T e pars i o j 7 rou ecided ’e fay er?r 5speiiee St.Paul's - Minutes of Council June3,1962 The regular monthly meeting of St.Paul's council was held at the church on Sunday evening,June 3,with the following answering to roll call: Albert Gurley -Mrs B.Leatherwood -Noel Lentz,Byron Miller,R.R.Russell, Sam C.Troutman Jr.,Mrs Maven Warren,Ray B.Warren -also the Supply Pastor,Rev.R.A.Goodman Byron Miller presided and opened the meeting with prayer. Minutes of the previous were approved as read by the secretary.Mrs Maven L. Warren,Treas reported a balance of $64.30 in the treasury,with Pastor Kinney paid up to date and only two small bills outstanding.She also announced that the special offering for N.C,Lutheran Homes on Mother's Day amounted to $49.91. Under old msiness it was announced that insurance on scout bus had been taken care of and that payments on Parsonage debt would be continued to be made as due. Pastor Goodman made some comments,expressing his pleasure at serving as supply until Pastor Ridenhour's coming the second Sunday in July.The Secretary was asked to give noti€e of this supply work through the local paper. President Miller advised that Pastor Ridenhour would like to move on July 4 and gave inforwation on bid made by Mr.Hack Sells for the job,to be paid on an hourly basis. Mrs.Maven Warren made motion,seconded by &,R.Russell,that Mr.Sells be employed and work out details with Mr Ridenhour Yotion carried. The matter of a leader or adult advisor for the Senior xmgug league,to replace Mrs. Kinney,was brought up and it was suggested that Miss Lois Linda Gibson,who had agreed to help,be asked to carry on until Pastor Ridenhour's coming,and ask for additional help as she sees fit. Attention was called to the leaky condition of classrooms in the church building, and other repairs needed and the property com.was instructed to proceed with whatever work they deemed advisable.It was also decided to leave a key to the Aull Building at some certain pkace forthe benefit of those assigned to clearimg duties and R.R. Russell offered his key for this purpose. br.Goodman's salary 4s supply 4s discussed and motion was made by Mrs Leatherwood, and carried that he pe paid $30.00 @ week. family expected to vacate thesecondedbyNoelLentz, No information was availabe as to just when the Kinney parsonage and it was decided that the president of couhcil,Byron Miller and Ray 5,Warren,Chairman of the Property Committee,contact them at an early date and secure a commit,ent as to a definite moving date.Motion was then made by Noel Lents,seconded by Sam Troutman and carried,that the property committee be given authority to proceed with any repairs and changes deemed necessary or desirable after conferring with Pastor Ridenhour before his coming.
