Rama W. Campbell died intestate in Iredell County, North Carolina, on January 30, 1956, leaving surviving him as his only heirs at law, his widow, Mrs, Carrie Watt Campbell, and six children, namely: J. Rex Campbell, Mildred C. Millsaps, Sadie C. Hlam, Eloise C. Renegar, Harry W. Campbell, and Carl S. Camp- bell; that the widow, Mrs. Carrie Watt Campbell, died May 28, 1956, and there was no administration on her estate; that the dwelling house in the town of Harmony, N. Ce, was owned by Rama W. Campbell; that the rent from said dwelling house, from the time of the death of Rema W. Campbell, to the date of the death of Mrs, Carrie Watt Campbell, was turned over to her; that at the time of the death of Mrs, Carrie Watt Campbell, she had in the Peoples Loan and Savings Bank, Statesville, N. C., from rent on the house and from insurance policies, the sum of $681.30, and this was handled and disbursed by Carl S. Campbell as an indi- vidual as follows: (a) Dre Je Me Robertson - medical bill $ 54.00 (b) Reavis Funeral Home - on funeral expense 550.00 (c) Iza Campbell. - for looking after lirs, Carrie Watt Campbell 50.00 (d) Cards and stamps at time of death 4050 (e) Iredell County - 1955 tax 16.01 (f) Turned over to Carl S, Campbell, Adminis- trator of Rama W. Vampbell 6.79 Total ° e ° e ° ° e e ° e & e e $681.30 2. The Administrator gave Billy Laws an option to purchase the house and lot in Harmony, N. C., for the price of $5,000.00, and he paid $100.00 on the option; that he failed to comply with the terms of the option and to get the balance of the purchase money, and at the request of Billy Laws, the $100.00 was accepted as his rent on the property during the period of time the option was in force. 3, The house and lot in Harmony, N. C., was sold to Harmony Milling Company for $4,800.00, and the heirs turned over the sale price to the Adminis- tratore 4. The heirs authorized the Administrator to pay from the sale price of the house and lot the balance of the funeral expenses of Mrs. Carrie Watt “<< 0 5 3 Ss & 7 5 p = 9s 6 1 Campbell and to pay all unpaid debts and cost of administration in the estate of Rama W. Campbell. 5. Rama W. Campbell did not own any household and kitchen furniture; the household and kitchen furniture, which was at the home of Rama W. Campbell, belonged to certain of the heirs, and this has been turned over te the respective owners. 6. Letters of administration were issued to Carl S. Campbell, as Ad- ministrator of the Estate of Rama W. Campbell, on July 12, 1956, by the Clerk of Superior Court of Iredell County, North Carolina; and notice to creditors was duly published in the Iredell Morning News once a week for six consecutive weeks, commencing with the issue of July 31, 1956. 7, All debts and claims of which the Administrator had any knowledge or information, or which have been filed with him in any way or manner, have been paid in full. 8. There is no inheritance tax due, but the Administrator filed a re- turn with the North Carolina Yepartment of Revenue. 9, The Administrator accepts the sum of $50.00 in full of all com- missions to which he might be entitled under the law in this estate. WHEREFORE, having fully administered on the estate of Rama W. Campbell, the undersigned Administrator prays that this report be accepted as his final settlement, and that the same be examined, audited and approved, and ordered recorded, and that he be discharged as by law provided.
