Smith Clerk of the Court Statesville, N.Ce Dear Wr. Smiths Your letter regarding a final report as Trustee of the J.A. Barkley Estate left me just a little bit at losse Should I make a final report showing the situation of the estate so far as it was affected by the obligation to take care of my Mother, or should the final report to which you referred be the report made when the whole thing is settled and completed? I have been moving under the impression that the functions of Trustee and Executor whould be one and the same so far as completing the settling of the Estatee I will move with the greatest dispatch possible to finish the task of settling the Estate. Some negotiations which are under way may take some weeks, but certaihly we should be able to get everything done within something like the next two monthge I shall write to all the heirs to indicate this probability.
