INTRODUCTION,
No accurate history can be preserved without a written record, No in conserve the results of its enterprises without a literature, or ve a truthful history of its movements without a record of its acts ; hence t} he importance of accurate, simple, systematic, and convenient books in which to record and preserve a history of the acts of the Church bodies. We send forth this book, feeling sure that it is by far the most practical simple and convenient form for recording the actions of Church Conferences that has been devised. We are indebted to the Nashville Preachers’ Associa- tion for valuable assistance in making this most excellent record. We cordially commend this record to our people as thoroughly adapt- able to the purposes for which it js designed.
