Davidson, R. Thurston McNeely, R. Eugene Harris, Asa T. HeNeely, Lucius Delk, Robert J. Holshouser, H. N. Johnston, Jr., J. R. Allison, R. H. aker, Sr., T. P, Elrod, P. B. McNeely, Sr., We. F. Morrow, Sr., Se H. Price, Sr. Concord Presbytery - Mr. W. F. Morrow, having been elected February 9, 1964 to attend & called meeting of Concord Presbytery to be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Statesville, N. C., February 17, 19644, gave his report of attendance and was commended for his diligence, Soreregational Meeting - The Congregational Meeting called to be held at the morning ervice, February 9, 1964 to act on the recommendation of the Planning Council to bee, anew Educational Building costing approximately $300,000.00, was held as called. . Memorial Fund - Motion was duly made and seconded to establish a Building Fund and inform the Congregation of this fund and any funds received would be applied to the Building Fund, unless otherwise designated, and that a letter of thanks would be sent to the one sending the gift. Film Strip Projector- It was brought to the attention of the Session that a second film strip projector was needed in the Educational Program of the Church and since sufficient funds were on hand by the Educational Committee, the Session approved the purchase of this additional film strip projector. Delegate to Presbytery - Back Creek Presbyterian Church, April 21, 1964 - Robert Ww. Mavidson was elected Principal and Robert Holshouser, Alternate, to attend this mee! Delegate to Synod of North Carolina to be held at Montreat, June 9 - 10, 1964 - A. F. Morrow was elected Principal and Eugene Harris, ‘lternate, to attend this meeting. e Ww : e Senior-_ Hi Work - Miss Lorra Lee Holshouser was approved by the Session to work with the Senior-Hi. @uttne--#ees@enser, Miss Margaret Ann Miller (Letter) - Miss Margaret Ann Miller's letter am received from the First A. R. P. Church, Statesville, N. C., being held one year from receif of same without having joined our Church and since Miss Miller has moved away, motion was duly made to return this letter to the First A. R. P. Church of Statesville, N. C. History of the Church - It having been a number of years since the history of our church had been made, Mr. W. F. Morrow and Mr. 2. V. Turlington, to serve as Co- Chairmans, were appointed to bring the history of the church up to date. ‘Br. and Mrs. Holshouser were thanked for having the wiletin Inserts on Actions of General Assembly - The Session approved ordering these nserts for distritution immediately following the meeting of the General Assembly. sndergarten Equi ment - Certain kindergarten equipment being needed, the Session e Treasurer of the Sunday School advancing *200.00 to purchase this @cuipment. The cost of the part of this equipment used in the kindergarten to be paid back to the Treasurer when the kindergarten begins operation. F, Morrow, Tuciis Delk were appointed by the Session to serve as Advisors to the Week-Day Kindergarten. Rev.Stowe was granted permission to be away to attend the graduation of his son from St. Andrews College, Sunday, May 31, 1964. paces A. Thurston McNeely, Asa T. McNeely, Shodthodtumter, James T. Suttles, Lucius Delk, Homer A. Hampe, Robert J. Holshouser, H. N. Johnston, Jr., and J. R. Allison. Minutes Approved - The minutes for the 3964th, 3965th and 3966th meetings of the Session were read and approved. New Members - Dr. L. P. Trivette was received by letter June 6, 1965 from Central Methodist Church, Mooresville, N. C. Every Member Canvas - Mr. Lucius Delk was elected by the Session as Director for the Every Member Canvas for the year 1966. Report of Attendance to Synod - John Allred reported on his attendance to Synod of North Carolina held in Richmond, Virginia, May 25th to 27th, 1965 and was commended for his diligence. The Session approved Mr. Bill Stowe to preach at the Morning Service, June 20, 1965, in the absence of his Father. Candidate for a Church Vocation - Miss Nancy Beverly Delk met with the Session and was examined by the Pastor, Rev. Joe E. Stowe, and upon motion duly made and seconded Miss Delk was taken under the care of the Session of the First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville, N. C., as a Candidate for a Church Vocation in Christian Education. “Election of Deacons - Motion was duly made and seconded that seven deacons be elected vevery two years in lieu of 10 -- this to take effect with the next election of Deacons the latter part of 1965.
