NOTICE TO BANKS UNLESS INSTRUCTIONS PRINTED BELOW ARE STRICTLY COMPLIED WITH STATE TREASURER WILL NOT PAY WARRANT _ “The Auditor shall issue his warrant payable to the pen- sioner or order, and such warrant shall not be paid by the Treasurer without the endorsement of the payee, or his duly appointed attorney in fact, specially authorized to make such endorsement; and if such endorsement is made by the payee, it shall be attested by the official signature of the Clerk of the Superior Court or some Justice of the Peace or Notary Public of the county in which such payee resides; and if such en- dorsement.is made by the attorney in fact of the payee, a copy of the power of attorney, duly attested by the Clerk of the Superior Court, or a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public of the county in which the Beaee resides, shall be attached to the warrant.”——Section 17, Ohapter 189, Laws 1921. INSTRUCTIONS Endorsement must be exactly like face of warrant. When attested by Notary, the Notary must use seal and state when his commission expires.
