MOTION from Commissioner Mills to approve the bid as
presented for the two-way radios after a satisfactory 30 -day
trial on two units, one for the south end and north end.
The $8,500 cost, if satisfied with the trial, will come
from Contingency Fund.
VOTING: Ayes - 5; Noes - 0.
SURPLUS PROPERTY: The county manager, Wayne Deal,
presented the board with a list of surplus property for the
county. He said that he would like to get with the auctioneer
who regularly auctions county property and set a date before
the next commissioners' meeting. At that time, he would
like for the board to declare the property as surplus and
set a date for a public auction.
TABLED until next meeting.
ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE. AMENDMENTS: A discussion
took place on the question of adding vaccination of cats to
the present animal control ordinance. It was decided that
the board would wait until the animal control committee
made a recommendation to the county commissioners before
any action was taken on this matter.
