COUNTY OF IRE DELL NORTH CAROLINA
Approval in Principle of an
Industrial and Manufacturing Project
The Board of Commissioners for the County of Iredell,
North Carolina, met in adjourned regular session at the
Agricultural Center in Statesville, North Carolina, the
regular place of meeting, at 7:30 P.M. on October 18, 1982.
Present: Chairman Joe H. Troutman, presiding and
Commissioners Murdock,'Campbell, Mills, and Ostwalt
Absent: None
Also present: Robert N. Randall, County Attorney; Alice
Fortner; Clerk to the Board;
Robert N. Randall announced, pursuant to Chapter 159C
of the General Statutes of North Carolina and the regulations
thereunder, that he had been advised that The Iredell County
Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority
intended to file an application with the Secretary of the
Department of Commerce for approval of an industrial and
manufacturing project for Thorneburg Hosiery Co., Inc. in
Iredell County, North Carolina, consisting of the acquisition
of approximately 30 to 100 acres of land, the construction of
a building thereon of approximately 40,000 square feet and the
acquisition and installation therein of equipment for the
