MOTION by commissioner, Stewart to deny this request based on
the unanimous decision of the Iredell County Planning Board.
Commissioner Boone stated that he was sympathetic to small
businesses, however, the proposed used car lot would be "on top of
the neighbors." Also, the Planning Board has denied this request
three times.
VOTING: Ayes - 3; Nays - 2 (Haire & Madison)

the Planning Board's recommendation (rezoned to GB-General
Business).

MOTION by Commissioner Madison to approve this rezoning to M-
1(CUD) with a condition set on the height limitation (a height that
would be satisfactory to the City of Statesville).
VOTING: Ayes - 5; Nays - 0.

Commissioner Madison requested to be dismissed from the vote

Chairman Haire moved to excuse Commissioner Madison.

MOTION by Commissioner Stewart to approve this rezoning as per
the Planning Board's recommendation, i.e., approval to M-2(CUD) to
only allow wood processing, flour or feed mill in the M-2 District;
and all uses in the M-1, Light Manufacturing District.
