UPDATE FROM THE MOORESVILLE TOWN MANAGER REGARDING
SEWER CAPACITY: Town of Mooresville Manager Jamie Justice said several news articles
had been published about the municipality's sewer capacity, and he desired to clear up some
misconceptions. He said the town had sewer space, and its wastewater plant's capacity was 5.2
million gallons a day while it was only treating 2 million a day. He said the town allocated space
using a build -out schedule, and an allocation policy was being drafted. Justice said many
projects, currently in the development stage, were already included in the schedule, and one
example was Cornelius Road. In regards to the new Coddle Creek School project, Justice said
the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources would ensure that adequate sewer
capacity was available.
(All administrative agenda items were then presented, and a summary about them may be
found in the regular minutes.)
