HomeMy WebLinkAboutC.054.93011_1554• Only three surplus vehicles a year will be available to the VFDs/Rescue Squads • Each vehicle will be sold at $800 (This is to the VFDs/Rescue Squads.) • Each individual VFD/Rescue Squad will be limited to one vehicle a year • Any additional expense incurred by the county to surplus the vehicle will be recouped from the VFD/Rescue Squad A representative of the Trinity VFD attended the meeting, and he advised that his department was also requesting a vehicle. He said the vehicle would be used to run medical calls and to transport firemen to training. It was the consensus of the board to allow the Union Grove VFD and the Trinity VFD to obtain one surplus vehicle each and for both transfers to be carred out under the new policy as was recommended by the county manager. (A summary of all other agenda requests made at the briefing session may be found in the regular minutes.) RECOGNITION OF BOY SCOUT TRAVIS MCNEILL: Boy Scout Travis McNeill and his father, Assistant Scout Master Jim McNeill (Troop 171/Williamson Chapel Methodist Church) were welcomed to the meeting by Commissioner Robertson. Mr. Robertson mentioned that Jim McNeill for many years had been active in scouting programs, and the Mooresville community had greatly benefited from his contributions.
