Present were: Chairman Steve D. Johnson Vice Chairman Godfrey Williams Doug Madison Marvin Norman Sara Haire Tice CALL TO ORDER by Chairman Johnson. CLOSED SESSION: OTIO by Chairman Johnson to enter into closed session at 4:00 p.m., for the purpose of discussing a personnel matter pursuant to G.S. 143-318.11 (a) 6. VOTING: Ayes — 5; Nays — 0. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION AT 4:50 P.M. (no action resulting from closed session) ADJOURNMENT: OTIO by Chairman Johnson to adjourn the special meeting at 4:50 p.m. VOTING: Ayes — 5; Nays — 0. AGENDA BRIEFING MINUTES The Iredell County Board of Commissioners met in Briefing Session on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at 5:00 p.m., in the Iredell County Government Center (South Wing Conference Room), 200 South Center Street, Statesville, NC. Present were: Chairman Steve D. Johnson Vice Chairman Godfrey Williams Doug Madison Marvin Norman Sara Haire Tice CALL TO ORDER by Chairman Johnson. Request for Approval of Recommendations from the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) Regarding FY 200405 Department of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Funding: Carl Duncan, the former Chairman of the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council for Iredell County, said his group recently met and heard from area agencies seeking juvenile justice funding for the upcoming year. He said the state had announced that $297,074.00 would be available, and the council had recommended funding for the following programs and agencies.
