This week is designed to show appreciation to telecommunicators. There is a widespread misuse of the 911 system, including prank and non-emergency, which can result in costly and inefficient 911 emergency response services. Thousands of 911 calls are made every year by children properly trained on the use of 911 resulting in lives saves, which shows the dire importance of training children early in life about 911.
