The meeting was held in the South Wing Conference Room of the Iredell County Government Center. present: Chairman Sara K. Haire Vice Chairman Steve D. Johnson David A. Boone Alice T. Fortner Alice M. COMMISSIONERS: The manager said he preferred the term "fee" over salary. Both fees and travel are recommended to be increased during 97-98. Also, that it was difficult to estimate how many people might attend meetings and what situation might arise that might need attendance. ADMINISTRATION: Commissioner Boone asked why salaries were over the budgeted amount. Blumenstein said it was because the merit money had not been moved to this account.
