Medical costs are high enough. They are high. we are
in the lower 108 in North Carolina, and North Carolina
is one of the lowest states in the nation in health
care costs. But they are still too high, and we worry
about pricing ourselves out of business in our own community.

Mr. Chairman, I'm Maury Gaston. If I understand you
correctly, I think we're hear for the purpose of asking
the commissioners to put this proposition to a vote in
November. Then would it be in order for us to find out how
many people here are in favor of you doing this for us
in November. would it be in order to ask them to stand,
the ones that are in favor of asking you to put this to
a vote? November 2nd?

I think we'll wait until everyone's had an opportunity to
speak before we do that.
