ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE - AMENDMENT: A proposed
amendment to the Animal Control Ordinance calling for the
vaccination of cats against rabies was presented to the
board. This amendment was prompted by the State Veteranarian
Department. The Health Board of Iredell County was
recommending the County Commissioners to adopt this amendment.
The amendment was referred to the Animal Control
Committee for its recommendation to the Board.
NO BOARD ACTION.
TAX SETTLEMENT: Delayed until July 20, 1982 meeting.
YADKIN VALLEY ECONOMIC DISTRICT: County Manager Wayne
Deal presented the Board with a resolution from the Yadkin
Valley Economic District. The County Manager said that a
resolution was necessary for this agency to transport clients
as much as five miles into Iredell County. The County
Attorney, Robert N. Randall, reviewed the resolution and
recommend the Board's adoption.
MOTION from Commissioner Murdock to adopt the resolution
as proposed. VOTING: Ayes - 4; Noes - 0.
