PROPOSED ZONING OF THE MRS. G.P. Morrison Heirs Property: Mr.
Lundy stated that Mr. Thad Morrison, Representative of the Alice
Morrison Estate, appeared before the Mooresville Planning Board to
request that the Town remove that portion of the Morrison property
that was in their extraterritorial jurisdiction so that it can be
taken back in by the County and keep all the land under the
County's jurisdiction. On July 7, 1993, the Mooresville Town Board
voted to remove that protion of the property in order to allow the
County to resume its jurisdiction. The planning staff recommends
that the County assume this land in its jurisdiction and zone it
RA, Residential Agricultural. The request was unanimously approved
by the planning board on September 1, 1993.
Site Specific Development Plan for Early Vesting of
Development Rights; Pennisula Partners Property: Pursuant to
Section 105 of the County Zoning Ordinance, Pennisula Partners has
applied for a Site Specific Development Plan approval which shall
entitle them to develop the property in accordance with such plan.
The proposal involves 39 acres comprised of apartments and a
commercial retail development. The partners are asking for a five-
year vesting.
Mr. Ross Adams spoke for this request and stated that they are
asking to continue this project. It comprises 39 acres, all zoning
is in place, and they have received no negative comments so far.
Chairman Haire adjourned the public hearing at 7:30 P.M.
MOTION by Commissioner Boone for this property to be rezoned
to Highway Business with conditional uses being that all mobile
homes be double wides and that there will be no more than four (4)
on the premises at any one given time.

from RA, Residential Agricultural to GB, General Business, RD,
Residential Office; and R-20, Single Family Residential District.
