Agent Evie Caldwell and Finance Director Susan Blumenstein explained during the agenda briefing
that a procurement card system would offer more purchasing accountability. A local banking
institution would offer software that enabled the finance office to monitor all purchases (what was
purchased, where purchased, and by whom). Blumenstein and Caldwell asked permission for the
county manager to sign the necessary banking agreements.
