A REPLACEMENT LAKE PATROL BOAT WITH FEDERAL EQUITY FUNDS: Chief
Deputy Dowdle said a new engine had been purchased for an existing boat, but this summer, it
was determined the craft's transit was cracked. He said the department wanted to replace the
existing recreational boat with a commercial type and install the new engine in it. He said the
McKee Craft Boat Company assisted Gaston, Catawba and Lincoln Counties with their
watercraft, and the company was also assist Iredell County. Dowdle added that a trailer would
also be purchased to transport the boat.
