(Staff recommends for Keith Benfield Contractor, Inc., to be Awarded the Construction
Project @ $235,632.10): Purchasing Agent Dean Lail said one bid was received for the rail
crossing/signal project, and the Alexander Railroad Company had approved the contractor. A

9. Request for Approval of a Grant Management Agreement with Hartigan Management
Enterprises, Inc., in Conjunction with the Pratt Industries Public Facilities Project:
Hartigan Management will be paid $29,500 for the administrative work associated with the Pratt
Community Development Block Grant. The cost will be funded by $4,500 from the Rural
Center and 525,000 from Pratt Industries.
10. Request for Approval of Budget Amendment #37 for the Appropriation of $10,000
Received from the Statesville Kiwanis Club for Restroom Renovations at the Iredell
County Fairgrounds: The bathroom renovations are budgeted at $25,000 and the Kiwanis Club
contributed $10,000 towards the cost.
11. Request for Approval of Budget Amendment #38 to Recognize Insurance Proceeds
Resulting from Property Damage Claims: Departmental expenditure lines will be amended
as follows:

Funds of $13,890 to the General Fund for the Purchase of Office Equipment/Furniture: A
copy of the ordinance is as follows:
