Pope, County Attorney Susan Blumenstein, Finance Director William Allison, Planning Supervisor Jim Vernon, Support Services Director Jean Moore, Clerk to the Board ADJUSTMENTS TO THE AGENDA Chairman Haire moved to make the following adjustments to the agenda: Addition Closed Session in Reference to G.S. 143-318.11(a)(5) Property Acquisition Q212ti2ns: Presentation of Findings from the Court Facilities Task Force & Presentation of the Proposed Education Portion of the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan VOTING: Ayes - 5; Nays - 0. PUBLIC BEARINGS Chairman Haire declared the meeting to be in public hearing session. REZONING REQUEST; CAROLINA CENTERS, L.L.C. PROPERTY, CASE NO. 9708-1: William Allison explained that Carolina Centers, LLC Property, was requesting that a'dportion of items CUD ert Residential from RA(CUD), R-20(CUD), Agricultural Conditional Use District & R-20(CUD), Single Family Residenon BrawleytSch olnRoad (SR 100) from Chuckw od Road t(SR1177)y is located t the Mecklenburg County line; more specifically identified as a portion of PIN#4625941684. The proposed use is for a single family residential community, private golf course and associated club, practice facility, and maintenance facilities; community recreational amenities including private parks, tennis courts, pool complex, private water access, boat docks, boat slips, and associated support facilities. Allison said the planning staff felt the realignment and enlargement of the golf course was an appropriate request consistent with surrounding land use.
