ARTICLE V. Conditions of Employment Section 1. Work Week The standard work [for all employees of the various departments of the county, with the exception of law enforcement, emergency medical service personnel, and communications, shall be five (5) eight (8) hour days and are subject to the overtime provision set forth in Article III, Section 14. Department heads shall work those hours necessary to ensure the satisfactory performance of their departments, but not less than forty (40) hours per week.
