Ketchie said he didn't want to foreclose on this property because if the soil is contaminated the County would not need this responsibility. An offer for abandonment has not been received. Commissioner Boone said he felt that if the listing is advertised a letter should be sent in advance advising of a certain period of time to pay. Commissioner Johnson concurred with Mr. Madison in that he didn't want to embarrass anyone making an honest attempt. He mentioned that some consideration could be given to the individuals experiencing personal hardships. Attorney pope said he would check into any liability factors. He mentioned he didn't know of anything; however, he would check with the Institute of Government.
