REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF A HIGH DENSITY OPTION IN THE WSIV-CA LAKE NORMAN WATERSHED: Planning Supervisor William Allison said Cotton B. Johnson, LLC was requesting approval of a high density option in the WSIV-CA Lake Norman Watershed for a boat dealership facility located on River Highway/NC I50. The high-density option would allow the applicant to exceed the standard allowance of 24% built -upon coverage for buildings, parking, sidewalks, but not exceed 50%. The option requires the applicant to build and maintain a wet detention pond capable ofremoving 85% ofthe total suspected solids fiom a one -inch rainfall. The planning staff found the request in order and said the ponds were bonded and inspected annually. Allison said the planning office monitored for structural damage.
