The Iredell County Board of Commissioners met in Regular Session on Tuesday, March 7,
2000, 7:00 p.m., in the Iredell County Government Center (Commissioners' Meeting Room), 200
South Center Street, Statesville, NC 28677.

CALL TO ORDER by Chairman Tice.
INVOCATION by Vice Chairman Johnson.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
ADJUSTMENTS OF THE AGENDA: MOTION by Chairman Tice to adjust the agenda
by the following revisions.
Addition: Request for Assistance from the State of North Carolina (Archaeology Dept.) in
Reference to a Possible Abandoned Burial Ground at the Intersection of Triplett Road
and Hwy. 801.
Deletion: Request for Approval of a Recommendation Regarding the Disposal ol'C'ounty
Property Located on Highway 150, Mooresville (old transfer station site)
VOTING: Ayes - 5; Nays - 0.

APPOINTMENTS BEFORE THE BOARD
REQUEST FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
(CJPP) COMMITTEE FOR APPROVAL TO APPLY FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE
CONTINUATION OF THE IREDELL COUNTY DAY REPORTING CENTER: James
Smallings, the case manager for the day reporting center, said the CJPP Committee recently met and
voted to recommend the continuation of the center. The committee also recommended for the
county to allow the request for state funding.
The same funding request of $134,268 will be sent to the state for FY 2000-01. Similar to
what has been done in the past, the county will contract with Appropriate Punishment Options to
administer the reporting center.
