PUBLIC HEARINGS Chairman Tice declared the meeting to be in a public hearing. REQUEST FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE IREDELL COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT PLAN & A REQUEST TO REZONE THE PROPERTY OF ALAN & DENISE CAMPI FROM RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL TO RESIDENTIAL OFFICE DISTRICT, CASE #0011-1 (The property is located at 1458 Brawley School Road in Mooresville, NC.): Planning Supervisor Ron Smith said the owners/applicants (Alan and Denise Campi) were requesting to rezone their property (.53 acres) from Residential Agricultural to Residential Office District. He said a building was on the site and Mrs. Campi desired to use it for an office. Smith said the existing land use was residential, and the surrounding land use was commercial. Mr. Smith said the property could be identified by PIN#4626-83-5565, and it was adjacent to Rusty's Restaurant & Bar. He continued by saying the Campi building was in close proximity to the restaurant/bar and was directly influenced by the daily and nightly noise. N ir. Smith said the residential office request was not out of character for the neighborhood, and it was a reasonable request for the land. He said that if the restaurant/bar ever ceased operations, it would be permissible for the Campi's to convert their property back to residential use. On November 1, 2000, the Iredell County Planning Board unanimously recommended approval to amend the Land Development Pian and the rezoning in an 11-0 vote. Denise Campi said she wanted to have a home office in the structure, and it would only be occupied from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. No one else spoke, and Chairman Tice adjourned the public hearing.
