Present: Chairman Sara Haire Tice Vice Chairman Steve D. Johnson Tommy E. Bowles Alice T. Fortner Alice M. Stewart Staff Present, County Manager Joel Mashburn, Finance Director Susan Blumenstein, Chief Deputy Rodney Proctor, Purchasing Agent Evie Caldwell, and Clerk to the Board Jean Moore. CALL TO ORDER by Chairman Tice. REQUEST FROM THE SHERIFFS OFFICE. FOR APPROVAL. OF THE FOLLOWING SIX ITEMS: 1. R ue t to Tran f r F nds fr m the ommiss artd Seized Asset Funds to a endive Line item. Chief Deputy Proctor said the department desired to purchase a defibrillator. Proctor said $894 needed to be transferred from the commissary account to supplement $2,000 already approved in the jail budget for the purchase. 2. The material will be aimed towards parents in an effort to encourage them to talk to their children about drugs, 4. Proctor said a substantial portion of the personnel costs would be paid from the grant during a three-year period. He added there was a mandatory one year retention period for the personnel after the grant expired. Proctor said this could probably be done. Mashburn agreed.
