Mr. Allison said the total acreage involved in the case was 196 acres. The existing land use is residential and vacant. He said there was only one special condition specified in the request for conditional use district zoning and this was for site, or stick built construction homes. He said the conditional use would prohibit modular home construction. On January 5, 2000, the planning board unanimously recommended approval. No one else spoke regarding the rezoning request. Chairman Tice adjourned the public hearing. MOTION by Commissioner Stewart to approve the non -owner rezoning request for Honeycutt Road (Case No. 0001-2) from R-20, Single Family Residential to R-20 (CUD), Single Family Residential Conditional Use District, VOTING: Ayes - 5; Nays - 0. Chairman Tice declared the meeting to be in public hearing session. REZONING REQUEST; JACK L. ELLEDGE & DENNIS G. HOOVER PROPERTIES, CASE NO. 0001-3 (from RA, Residential Agricultural District To RO, Residential Office District - location is on Amity Hill Road between I-77 & Murdock Road): Allison said the owners wanted to rezone the property so it could be used for office space. The specific PIN #s are 4742-75-6266 and 4742-75-6166. Allison said increasing traffic and the adjacent commercial development near the site made the area appropriate for residential office zoning. On January 5, 2000, the planning board unanimously recommended approval. Commissioner Fortner asked the types of offices that would be permitted in the request. Allison said medical, dental, real estate, insurance, and residential uses. Bill Kennedy, a representative for the owners (Elledge & Hoover), said he was present if anyone had questions. Chairman Tice adjourned the public hearing.
