APPROVAL OF REQUEST FROM LOWRANCE HOSPITAL FUNDS COMMITTEE: MOTION from Commissioner Stewart
to approve the request from the Lowrance Hospital Funds Committee and fund $450,000 for the Mitchell
College/Lake Norman Medical Center/Mooresville Schools Consortium for a nursing program, as presen-
ted by this group, and to fund $20,000 for a planning grant to the Town of Mooresville for planning
for the expenditure of the remainder of these funds.

APPROVAL OF A REQUEST FROM MITCHELL COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS: MOTION from
Commissioner Stewart to approve the budget transfer for Mitchell Community College, transferring
$56,000 to capital outlay for paving parking lots in the 89-90 budget. This is to fulfill the
auditor's requirements.
