Department of Natural Resources and Community Development, Division of Forest Resources, for FY 1987-88, as presented. VOTING: Ayes - 5; Nays - 0. DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES - CONTRACT WITH COST CONTAINMENT, INC. FOR SERVICES: This contract has been discussed at an earlier meeting. It was understood that the contract price would be raised by the company; however, Mr. Don Wall, Social Services Director, advised that he had recently spoken with company officials. If the contract is signed in the very near future the county will be able to save approximately $1,000 on the annual cost. MOTION from Commissioner Murdock to approve the contract with Cost Containment. VOTING: Ayes - 5; Nays - 0. EXECUTIVE SESSION: MOTION from Chairman Hedrick to adjourn to executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel. VOTING: Ayes - 5; Nays - 0. Present for the meeting were: Larry S. Hedrick, Chairman Alice M. Stewart, Vice Chairman Jessie S. Crosswhite Frances L. Murdock Samuel L. Ostwalt Staff present: J. Wayne Deal, County Manager William P. Pope, County Attorney Alice Fortner, Clerk to the Board F. William Furches, Jr., Finance Officer School Board Members: Jerry Ball Richard Feimster W. A. Benfield School Staff: Don Williams Wayne Miller Franklin Ivey Jim Edmiston Chairman Hedrick called the meeting with the Iredell County School Board to order. The discus- sion was centered around the capital needs for the Iredell County school system. Chairman Hedrick said there were concerns about cash for for the proposed construction of the Troutman Elementary School. There was a brief discussion of H.B. 1155, which is presently being discussed in the Legislature. Dr. Williams said there were $8 to $10 million in critical needs throughout the county school Ll
