RESOLUTION FOR THE FAMILY FARM: Mr. Bill Pope had finished the resolution and read the follow-
ing:
WHEREAS, Iredell County is and has been from its inception an "Agricultural County," and,
WHEREAS, the severe downturn in American Agriculture has driven numerous farms into insolvency
and families from the farm; and,
WHEREAS, the communities of Iredell County have all to some extent been disrupted and damaged
by the current agricultural situation; and
WHEREAS, the problem is of such magnitude and scope that it can only be addressed on a national ..
level; and

WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Iredell Coun
of America, producing heros in not only agriculture, but in all walks of life, teaching those values
which have made America great.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THE Board of Commissioners of Iredell County calls upon the U.
S. Congress to enact with all deliberate speed such legislation as may be appropriate to save the
Family Farm, including addressing where appropriate matters pertaining to lending practices adequate
prices, and marketing assistance,
